Hey, guess what, this is my first blog post on my new website! I’ll give the confetti a moment to settle, don’t worry, I’ll wait.
ANYWAY.
Last January I had the amazing opportunity to attend the Alpine Northwest Photography Workshop. With instructors like India Earl, Wyn Wiley, Carina Skrobecki Swain, and Noelle Johnson on host duty, I had to attend. The absolute dream team. It’s been a little over a year since that experience and my excitement hasn’t settled one bit.
I got to carpool with Kelly Costello and Randi Kreckman, and we pulled up to find the most AMAZING snow-covered winter wonderland (special thanks for getting us there safely go out to my Toyota RAV4, ily bby). For anyone on the fence about attending a workshop, I can’t recommend the Alpine Northwest workshops enough. The education and guided styled shoots are worth the money on their own, but the friends you’ll make are honestly priceless (cheesy, like the bruschetta we ate). Education aside, I felt simultaneously challenged and supported throughout the entire experience. I felt raw and vulnerable, and somehow safe. But, you know what? You can’t grow without pushing yourself.
And now, without further ado, here are some of the highlights of the best (and most emotionally challenging) three days of my life.
